Declining grades.

Unable to accomplish tasks assigned by the teacher.
A distractive classroom environment leading to your child not paying attention.
Your child may be struggling with concepts.
Classroom curriculum may not be challenging.
Your child is struggling with an experience in his or her life such as a divorce, death of a family member, or illness which has made focusing on school work difficult.
Child is struggling with homework assignments.
You may hear the child say "my teacher doesn't like me".
Does your child become upset when it is time to do homework?
Does your child feel defeated? Do you hear self deprecating phrases such as "I am stupid" or "I can't do that"?
Is your child lacking in organizational skills? For example, is losing assignments, not completing homework, or not turning in assignments.
Is your child reluctant to discuss school?
Does your child say "I hate school"?
Your child's teacher or guidance counselor may have recommended tutoring.

Rutherford Tutoring Service does not want to overwhelm your child. We will use the curriculum the student is currently using in his or her classroom.
With your consent, the tutor will contact the student's teacher(s) or guidance counselor and together they can develop ideas that will help improve your child's academic performance.
