Gaining entrance to colleges continues to get increasingly difficult as more and more applicants are applying for a limited number of spaces. You can improve your chances of being admitted to the college or university of your choice by writing a stellar personal essay as part of your college application.
A great admissions essay can mean the difference between acceptance and rejection. How you write your personal essay shows the admissions committee what sets you apart and makes you different from everybody else. It provides information about you that test scores, grades, and extracurricular activities cannot. You can use the essay to describe a favorite activity, to tell a story about yourself, or even a story about your favorite pet. What you need to accomplish is to capture the readers attention and shows that you are exceptional.
So, you ask, how do you write a college application essay? Writing the college application essay can be one of the most daunting parts of applying to college.
The instructor will share with the student sample college application essays so they get an idea of what should be included in the essay.
Course 1 - Comprehensive Start To Finish
6 Hour Package
If you aren’t sure how to get started on your essay, our instructor can guide you through the entire process.
The package includes:
Getting Started:To help the student discover all of the possible essay topics, the student will be provided with a worksheet with questions about interests they have and personal accomplishments. They simply answer the worksheet’s interesting questions.
Brainstorming:Using the worksheet as a starting point, the instructor will help the student narrow down the options and figure out the best topic and approach. The student will also learn the basics of essay writing, tips, and techniques for letting their individuality shine. Most students come in with no idea where to start and walk out with a great topic and an understanding of how to turn it into their own words.
The Evaluation:Once the student has a draft of their essay, the instructor will spend one hour evaluating it, making notes and addressing areas of concern.
The Consultation:The instructor will spend two hours helping the student improve the essay. Together they will review the content, style, structure, grammar, and punctuation. The student will leave with a total understanding of how to give their essay a final polish.

Course 2 - For the student that has started their essay and needs some help with the final polish.
3 hour package
The Final Evaluation: The will instructor spend one hour evaluating the student's essay and making careful notes.
Consultation:The instructor spends two hours helping the student understand how to improve their essay. They will review the content, the style, the structure, punctuation, and the errors, . The student will walk away knowing how to give their essay the final polish before submitting to the colleges of their choice.
